I’m constantly being amazed at some of the clever and awesome stuff people come up with and contribute.
Philipp Kerling recently sent me an awesome perl script that converts the grammar guide to PDF. This is a lot better than the old version which is simply the html file printed to pdf. This version also allows me to keep it up to date with the site.

Wow, looks really great. I prefered online version prior to this because of the .pdf formatting. Now .pdf can be printed so nicely.

Holy… have you thought of submitting this to publishers? Though, you should insist on keeping the online version up free, and I guess some publishers wouldn’t like that. But there’s now absolutely zero reason any university should still be using the lousy “English guide to Japanese” they all do!
I’ve kind of given up on traditional book publishing. I’ll probably go with lulu or something but mostly just electronically. But I want to get everything cleaned up first. Still, I like the idea of University outreach. If you’re studying Japanese at a university, please recommend the guide to your classmates and professors!
It would be wonderful to have this in print-form. 189 pages is quite a few to print out myself. I guess if I’m feeling very vindictive toward my printer someday…

Personally, I still prefer the online version, but the conversion here is pretty slick.
I would like to say thanks for the pdf version. It’s just makes things a lot easier to refer to and look at, especially when my internet connection is capped. Thanks again!

Thanks for the PDF! After reading the first ~30 pages i decided to print it instead. Sadly my printer went out of toner after some 40 pages
