In addition, the particle は can be used to show contrast between two opposing sentences. For example:

私はお茶が好きです。でも、紅茶は好きじゃない。("Watashi wa ocha ga suki desu. Demo, koucha wa sukijanai." I like green tea. However,I don't like black tea.)

Or, both could use は. お茶は好きです。でも、紅茶は好きじゃない。

Ah, the many uses of は. My 先生 said he thinks of は as a fishing net - it is very broad. が, on the other hand, is like a spear. Its very direct. The examples on this page made it very easy for me to see this in action! Thanks for taking the time to put it up here!!! ^.^
