This is a tricky one. The problem is that, although "帰る" ends in a "る" it conjugates as an u-verb. The ます-form is "帰ります", and the ない-form is "帰らない."

It's kind of like how "きれい" (adj. meaning "beautiful") ends in an "い" but is actually a な-adjective instead of an い-adjective. When you come across exceptions like these you just gotta memorize them, though luckily there are very few in Japanese.
