At this part:

(1) 話を聞いていますか。- Are you listening to me? (lit: Are you listening to story?)
(2) ううん、聞いてない。- No, I'm not listening.

the japanese seems correct but for the translation there is a question...

聞いています = listening

but

聞いてない and 聞いていない got me confused ?_? could you help me?
When is 聞いていない being used? (google-ed it and only 523,000 results...)
