As a student currently in Japan on a 9 month school exchange, age 18, graduated in Europe now re-doing the 18, graduated in Europe now re-doing the 10th grade in Japanese highschool, I'd like to just fling in a, in my eyes, funny situaton,on the subject of the じゃない-じゃん
My hostmum (am currently residing in a hostfamily) during dinner said, to her child, not to me; "健康じゃないじゃん" which made me giggle. On the inside.
That day i also read this page of grammar, adding to the humour.
Not that i didnt already think, all by my lonesome, the same thing about じゃん.
Without looking up the grammar, one instinctively and through practice discovers expressions and grammar rules like 足りる、過ぎる、-ところ、ことがある、じゃん、etc.
This comment sounded alot funnier in my head, by the way.
