Oops one more thing I forgot to mention.. you can't say: 「簡単であれば簡単なほどよいです」
You need the verb before and after ば to be the same. You dropped the verb in the second half. In English, what you said looks like this: "To the extent that it is simple, it is simply there." Sounds weird right?
