Advanced Topics
Whew! We've come a long way from learning the basic phonetic alphabet to covering almost all the grammar you're going to need for daily conversations. But wait, we're not finished yet! In fact, things are going to get even more challenging and interesting because, especially toward the latter part of this section, we are going to learn grammar that only might come in handy. In my experience, the most useful things are easiest to learn as they come up again and again. However, in order to completely master a language, we also must work hard to conquer the bigger area of things that don't come up very often and yet every native Japanese speaker instinctively understands. Believe it or not, even the more obscure grammar will come up eventually leaving you wondering what it's supposed to mean. That's why I bothered to learn them at least.

Is it just me or?
Are there no longer mouse overs in the advanced topics section? It's not too big of a deal, since Rikaichan handles most of the readings, but it can be a pain when Rikaichan pops up with two or more readings for a word and you kind of have to guess which one you think is the right one.

I know you posted this a while ago, but this will hopefully help you and others who have discovered Tae Kim's awesome resource. There is an online Kanji-in-text translator. Search for wwwjdic on google, or follow this link http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/cgi-bin/wwwjdic.cgi?9U
All you have to do is copy-paste kanji into the box (you can even paste entire parts of text with hiragana too), and the in-text translator will cross reference the word and kanji dictionary on the wwwjdic site, and give a list of readings and meanings for the kanji in question. tip: if you paste whole sentences, the app will give you the proper reading for the Kanji every time.
This is a great strategy,
This is a great strategy, which I don't hesitate to use when I am on a computer. However, it is a huge pain in the butt for us iPhone app users when the readings aren't included.
I wasn't sure where to bring this up so I guess I will just try here first. Are there any plans to add the readings into the advanced grammar section? Specifically in an update for the iPhone app because it is such a pain to copy and paste every kanji you need the reading for into another app.
Thanks!
Yes, but I won't get to it
Yes, but I won't get to it for a while.
