Talk:Português:Introdução
From JapaneseGuide
A few translation notes (just recording small details):
- I've replaced the "I will go to the store" vs. "I go to the store" example with something like "I open the door" vs. "I will open the door", because in Portuguese the verb to go itself is involved with a future-tense contruction, and hence the example would be too confusing;
- I've removed the following bit for it doesn't make no sense at all in Portuguese and I have nothing to replace it with. If you have, please let me know.
or that that "dirty" can mean sneaky or unfair but cannot mean sexually perverted
- I don't know if this applies to the Portuguese/Brazilian market, but I kept it anyway
I also suggest not wasting any money on buying a Japanese-English, English-Japanese paper dictionary as most currently in print in the US market are woefully inadequate.
