Using かもしれない/かもしれません, but not as the final word

Question: How do I include a statement of uncertainty about the sameness of A and B, when my my final verb will be 示しています (and not かもしれない or かもしれません)?

For example, how do I say something along the lines of "the book shows that A and B may be the same"?

2. Pattern 2: 「A」と「B」が同じ（である）かもしれない（という）ことを示しています。

Whether to use optional parts (like である and という) is up to the writer, but these are possible:

(using pattern 1) 「A」と「B」が同じである可能性があることを示しています。
(using pattern 2) 「A」と「B」が同じかもしれないということを示しています。
